VP, Creative Technologist, AI Innovation (Hybrid Philadelphia)
Description
- Define the Creative-Technical Approach: In partnership with the Wet Paint team, you evaluate abstract creative ideas for feasibility and identify the specific AI models or APIs required to bring them to life.
- Partner with Data Specialists and Software Engineers to translate high-level agency solutions into concrete creative-technical specifications.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in our current technical stack and collaborate with engineering peers to advise on the infrastructure necessary for future innovation.
- Partner on the Prototype: Work with Engineering to move ideas from concept to functional proof-of-concept in hours, not weeks. Focus is the creative utility and user experience of the prototype ensuring it proves the intended business value.
- Champion the "art of the possible" by continuously experimenting with emerging tools to expand the agency's creative capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a toolkit of custom scripts, prompts, and workflows that serve as force multipliers for our traditional creative teams.
- Provide creative and UX direction to ensure that the AI-generated assets meet the agency's aesthetic and brand standards.
- Act as a "Universal Translator" who can explain complex technical capabilities into clear business advantages for clients, and translate abstract creative concepts into specific tasks for developers.
- Collaborate with the extended team and contribute to new business acquisition by creating bespoke demos that differentiate Fingerpaint in the pitch room.
- Champion the ethical and responsible use of data and AI across the organization, ensuring proposed solutions are compliant with internal standards and external regulations.
- 10+ years of experience in creative technology, innovation, or digital product design, with a background in advertising.
- Code: Functional fluency in Python and JavaScript, with experience using APIs and setting up local development environments. While not expected to build enterprise-grade infrastructure, you must be able to write functional, clean code to build apps and connect systems in collaboration with our engineering team.
- Data Fluency: Practical knowledge of data retrieval and handling. You should be comfortable writing basic SQL queries, working with structured data formats, and understanding how to interface with cloud environments to access data for creative applications.
- AI Architecture: Familiarity with Vector Databases and RAG workflows to ground AI models in client data.
- Art & Motion: A strong portfolio demonstrating an eye for design, composition, and visual storytelling. Experience with video generation tools and traditional editing software is highly preferred.
- Copy: High fluency in prompt/context engineering and working with LLMs for tone, style, and narrative structure.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to thrive in a demanding, team-based agency environment, effectively managing priorities to meet deadlines.
